Disney Channel Renews "Dog With a Blog" (Exclusive)

Disney Channel is getting behind "Dog With a Blog".

The kids' cabler has greenlighted a third season of the family comedy series, The Hollywood Reporter has learned exclusively. Production on the new episodes begins in April, with an eye on a fall premiere.





"Dog With a Blog" centers on a talking and blogging canine named Stan as he helps his owners, step-siblings Avery (G. Hannelius), Tyler (Blake Michael) and Chloe (Francesca Capaldi) and their parents Bennett (Regan Burns) and Ellen (Beth Littleford), adjust to blended family life and the challenges they experience at school and beyond. Stephen Full voices Stan.

The comedy, currently in its second season, returns Feb. 21.





Last year, "Dog With a Blog" was a top five series among the kids 6-11 demographic. Season to date, the half-hour series is No. 1 in its 8:30 p.m. Friday time slot among kids 2-11, kids 6-11 and tweens 9-14.

"Its relatable characters and unique approach to storytelling has made Dog With a Blog a show the whole family can enjoy together. Season three will continue to deliver laugh-out-loud sitcom fun from a dog's point of view," said Adam Bonnett, executive vp original programming at Disney Channel.

Usually Disney lets their shows run for four seasons before canceling them b/c all of the kids get too old. Although I do wish they would have kept "Good Luck Charlie" going, but it was the same situation there! I do like this show a lot though. It's hilarious!
