All those are great but none I would consider the best country song ever. "He Stopped Loving Her Today" is considered by many to be the best country song ever recorded but I think it's way overrated. George Jones will always be primarily associated with that song but the man had way too many that were far better including this one.
"Stand By Your Man" was voted the #1 country song of all-time and a televised special that honored the top 100 aired a few years ago and ironically "He Stopped Loving Her Today" came in at #2 but this will always be my favorite song of her's. "Coal Miner's Daughter" is definitely Loretta Lynn's signature song but I prefer these 2 more. "Hello Darlin' is Conway's signature song but my favorite is "Fifteen Years Ago" which is tied with Gene Watson's "You Could Know as Much About a Stranger" for my all-time favorite country song. |

Out of those songs, I pick "I Fall To Pieces" but to me, no one can sing it better than LeAnn Rimes.

My favorite country song is "El Paso," by Marty Robbins (1960).

I like "Crackers" by Barbara Mandrell, but it wasn't on the list.

I picked 'Ring of fire" I'm a big Johnny Cash fan!
Also love Galveston, Mama's don't let your babies grow up to be Cowboys, Stand by your man, Crazy and Behind closed doors. Really all the songs listed up there I like! Not on the list, I also really like Elvira by the Oakridge boys and The Gambler by Kenny Rogers |
