I recently found a video of the original Will & Grace season one intro on YouTube. The intro has not been seen since its original NBC broadcast, and in the syndication reruns, it is replaced by a different intro.

I wonder if the DVD version retains this intro or is it replaced there too?

I have the DVD sets, and that intro is present during season one.

Episodes 1-5 feature that intro, which means only disc 1 holds this hidden gem,

. It's replaced by the sliding Blue Will & Grace text animation during episode 6, which starts off Disc 2.
