Default what character do you identify with the most in cheers

hey guys, just kind fo currious as to which of the great cheers characters do you identify with the most on the great show, not nessesarilly have the most in comman with, but who do you relate to most and as who can you understand the most,i would have to go with diane, frasier and sam,i come from a richer family, but i,m not really a snob like diane could sometimes be even though she really did have alot of other really good qualitys, some of my close friends think that i am a snob and i am interested in some of the same things as her,sam because i am very down to earth person atleast i try to be,sam again because i am always listening to my friends problams like sam and frasier and i guess i can kind of see where they are coming from, but sometimes by certin narrow minded people i have been concidered a snob,i mean i don,t have a very glamourus or unrealastic life and i guess diane didn,t really either, sam did to a certin degree, but since my dad is a doctor and my mom is a professor physiotherapy, and just because i live in a nicer part of town some people seem to think i am a snob or sometimes,so i can definitlly find myself in her situtation to a degree, allright forgeting about my boring life story, there are of course other reasons that i can,t think of right now,but i definitlly can identify with these people, one great thing about cheers is that it had great likeable and genuinelly realalistic characters i think, that is definitlly one of the great things about this show, realistic characters that you can identify with alot, another great thing to this cool show, cheers had as well great characters, who do you relate to most at cheers thanks lol

I'm probably most like Diane and Frasier. I was a lot like Diane when I was younger, always wanting to fit in, and I had these big dreams, but never quite achieved them. I'm also like her in that I adore art, and theatre. Diane can be a bit of an intellectual snob sometimes, but one thing I really respect and admire her for is that she went out into the world on her own, and even though she came from a very wealthy family, she chose to support herself and live a more modest life instead of using her family's position to get what she wanted. So in that respect, I don't think she's a snob at all.

I'm also like Frasier in that I'm going to be a therapist (just got into graduate school, go me!), and I always end up counseling my friends through their current crises. And I suppose I'm a bit like Lilith in that respect as well. Not to mention that I'm very shy in real life, so people tend to write me off as aloof or cold or snobbish. But when they get to know me better, and I feel more comfortable around them, they seem to like me a lot more.

I have to say, I'm a lot like Diane as well. I have the over-whelming need to fit in, much as she does. I, too, am viewed as an intellectual, egotistical snob by my peers, but I feel that I am, just as Diane was, completely misunderstood. Yes, intellectual, in depth conversations are preferred... by my so-called "snobbish attitude" could be catagorized more as a defense mechanism. In reality, I don't feel I'm better than anyone else -- my self esteem isn't all that high, and by presenting myself with the an "aire" it makes me feel more confident. I'm not quite sure if that made any sense?!

I agree with you, Dulcey. She isn't the snob everyone at Cheers made her out to be; otherwise, she would constantly be throwing her money in their face and would NEVER, and I mean NEVER take a job as a BARMAID! The fact she took initiative to start from scratch and make it on her own shows great character. I admire her all the more for that.

I, too, am also like Diane in the artist respect. I enjoy the same things as she does and I'm known for "playing" the shrink. The faux psychologist... but really destined to make it in the creative world (for Diane it would be writing, me... it's all about the theatre!). I'm very analytical, which is why I adore Frasier, Lilith, and Diane so... I can relate to them in the sense they always have to pick everything apart and find great meaning in it. (Which makes more sense in Frasier and Lilith's cases, considering their chosen professions!)

Like Frasier, I'm truly neurotic. LOL Obsessive compulsion is right up my alley!

Okay, I'd LOVE to claim I'm like Lilith in any way... but, I can't honestly think of anything. LOL If I come up with something, I'll let ya know.

Lilith: I mapped out our dominant and recessive traits on a genome square, applied Mendel's laws, allowed for anomolies, and concluded that you are the best biological choice.
Frasier: I see. Well, enticed as I am by your honeyed words, I'm gonna need some kissin'.
Lilith: Frasier, don't misunderstand. I'm not proposing any change in our relationship.
Frasier: Would we sleep together?
Lilith: I thought we'd freeze your sperm.
Frasier: Is that a yes or a no?
Lilith: Natural fertilization isn't practical. I'd have to fly to Seattle every time I ovulate.
Frasier: Right, okay. So then, your plan is for me to visit some local doctor, freeze my essence, and then bring it home with you.
Lilith: Correct. I'll take mine to go!

hey all again,i really do agree with ya on diane not really being a snob,as you did say that she herself did not relay on her parents or their money or her basiclly i guess you could say social standing, and she did not use any of that instead she used herself and her brains and her personallity to get through life and i agree it takes a good character to do that and moral,i guess diane did sometimes seem to people that she was a snob, but she wasn,t really she liked to show off the fact that she had more knowlage in some areas, which sometimes seem that she was a snob, but i am definitlly sure that she was not really a snob and i agree with you again on the other area when you mention that she would never have hanged out at a bar or EVEN MORE WORKDE AS A BARMAID,IF SHE WAS LIKE that she woulld NEVER IN HER LIFE WOULD HAVE DREAMED about it,and she probably would not be hanging out with all those people instead she would be somewhere with the other intellectuals and the other all
the acadamic people most likelly definitlly not with everyone at cheersl, but she choose to hang out with everyone like a decent human being would and she cared alot about ALL THE PEOPLE and she had this warmth and caring about her and she was really quit a reasonalbe moral and very nice and kind and caring person who tried to help all people, she often showed some of this warmth alot of the time which was really really great to observe and see and it shows that she was definitlly not a snob, and i do also relate well to you guys when you say how well you can relate to diane,i guess maybe that is why i like her because i think i have quit afew things in comman with her,not all but several and of course i,d like to say more than i have, but i think i have ALOT,i also am very much into the arts and mostly thearte and i like poetry and all those things, boy am i ever trying to make my self sound like an intellectual unitentional though,i have high ideals and goals, and expectations as well,i try to be fair and moral, but also at several times an egotist, but i really hate self centerness alot, but i ocassionally can be that way but i am working really hard on that,i think i am,i really am sometimes very inseacure even though i have all these plans i highlly doubt most are going to come true and i do get very high grades,i don,t think i am an intellectual and i don,t want to make myself sound concided either at all,but i have been concidered to be one by my fellow classmates and other peers, but i really hate self centerness alot and don,t like to even call myself an intellectual for fear that i might be sounding concided, but i really do care about helping people alot,i also like the classical things such as shakespere, again not to make myself sound very intellectual or self centered, but i love that stuff alot, and i LOVE TO TALK AS YOU CAN PROBABLLY TELL just by this long responce alone,i try to be classy as well, but not to be a snob or anything like that just cause it is my style execpt i don,t think that i am a neortic i am a pretty laid back kind of person though and i don,t try to scold people about ethic and manners such as diane sometimes did with sam.but i am a perfectionest, but i,d say i am quiy funny sometimes i sound serious but i do really like to laugh and have a fun time, but i do try to be funny and tell jokes, achully i laugh quit abit,i try to be a class clown sometimes, execpt my jokes suck and i HATE CLOWNS,but i have about 3 bllon jokes,i love to tell jokes,so there you have it,i am finally finshed talking and good luck guys in your future plans, the sky is not the limit, thanks lol,i am FINALLY finished writing here
