As I am fond of both ladies, I mean it as a compliment

It's their shared accent, head shake, widened and squinted stares, shrugged shoulders, smiles, etc. that I find reminiscent of each other.

Yep, that's for sure! You can take the girls outta New York, but you can't take that heavy accent away from anyone

Speaking of which, I'm not sure how I feel about Rosie as a person, but I friggin' love her PM impersonation

I don't see/hear a real resemblance. Now, Rosie/Penny, yes. And Kathy Griffin does a good Rosie O'Donnell impression.

I remember Alex Borstein had a funny as hell impression of Rosie O'Donnell on Mad TV that cracked me up.
