please try to remain unbiased:
I noticed Laura consistently pronounced words that began in "th" with "d" instead in the later seasons. 1.) Had she always done that? 2.) Why didn't anyone correct Kellie Shanygne Williams? It's something that could've easily been fixed! Perhaps she was persuaded -- or even instructed -- to continue this trend. I haven't seen her in anything else which makes it tougher to differentiate, but it certainly made Laura appear sassier, and you can see it more often when she's around her friends. It's also possible that someone thought it gave her an edge due to her Goody Two-Shoes reputation. Location might have been taken into account as well since Chicago is home to "Da Bears"

I don't know about that. I noticed in season one she sometimes didn't pronounce her "R's". She'd say stuff like "Got any livah?"
