my 91 year old father and 84 year old mother were in a car accident yesterday. Nothing serious they're both ok. It could have been a lot worse though; thank God it wasn't!!!
They're keeping my father in a trauma hospital overnight for observation and my mother just has a couple bruised ribs and a broken foot. |

I'm so sorry to hear this. How awful. I'm so glad they're okay. It's a good idea to keep your dad overnight for observation. At such an advanced age, anything can happen suddenly. I'll pray for their continued recovery. You take it easy yourself too.

thank you Janice!
(just what their apartment needs; another walker! My 2 sisters, who live with them and have HSP; each use a walker; and they have a small apt! )

Wow, that's scary! Both of them in an accident. I'm glad it was relatively minor.

thank you everyone. Latest news is; they're doing fine. My father has 2 sprained vertebrae in his neck and has to war a special collar for a couple months but that's all.

well, the latest is-my mother's doing fine, and my father's in such good shape that they're discharging him from the hospital in the next 1-2 days. That's according to him. My sister talked to them however and according to his nurse, they're not because they want to have him examined by a neurosurgeon and they'll probably be keeping him in for another month.
