Default geez, Samantha was a brat

Holy crap, I'm about 2/3 the way through season 1 and Samantha is just practically begging for a butt-whooping. Callling Nell the N-word, stealing the Chief's squad car (she was even too young to drive at that point.), how the hell did she not end up in juvie? Plus, throwing a fit when asked to wear clean clothes for her grandparents 55th wedding anniversary, refusing to kiss the Chief goodbye because he wouldn't let her go on a fishing trip unchaperoned, all in just 16 episodes. And it's not like she could have skated on her looks, she was hideously ugly at that point.

I thought she was cute on the show and she grew up to be quite pretty IMO.

Samantha was definitely a BRAT in the first few seasons, but I never thought she was "hideously ugly" in the beginning. I just found her to be awkward and kind of nerdy looking.

Samantha is a troubled person. One good thing about her was in the "Cat's Story" episode, she looked 100% attractive in her cyan-turquoise blue dress!

I always wanted to slap her in the episode with the imaginary friend Debbie Jo. Normal 14 year olds do not have imaginary friends. The chief should have dragged her to a psychiatrist.

The thing that I liked most about that episode was getting to see Julia all dressed up. Early in the episode, we see Katie and Julie ready for their double-date. The site of Julie made up like that really made me drool!

I don't remember how Julie or Katie looked in the episode about Samantha's imaginary friend.

Katie and Julie both wore pretty dresses with nice purses over their shoulders. They both also wore makeup and their hair was done up nicely. This is another episode that is still up on You Tube in case you want to see it again.
