Confused Does anybody know why Shawn Harrison left?

I could be wrong about this, but I'm assuming it was a personal choice. Did he want to attend school, pursue other projects, tend to a sick relative, or anything like that? I could only find one interview of his (the interviewer claimed she was a close friend) and it was never discussed

It would be nice to know. Waldo was always my favorite character on the show and the last season really hurt without him there (among other things).

Co-signed! I created a Twitter account just to ask him -- we'll see what happens

He went on to guest appearing opn several other sitcoms. Most notably, "Girlfriends" as Peaches and The Parkers.

Okay, here's his answer. Although it poses even more questions, I'm just grateful that he responded I'm not exactly sure how Twitter works, but I'm not interested in keeping mine, so I'll just delete my account after I know for a fact he's seen my final comment

Oh, I guess they simply didn't feel it was worth it to renew it. Which is a shame since the end of the show was rather bad and could have used him.

True that! I doubt we'll ever know the whole story unless someone from the cast offers it because I noticed he politely declined an interview on there since he "doesn't like [them]". Also, this is off-topic, but he claimed his moodiness as of late was probably due to Aquarius season. (He's a Capricorn.) I find fellow sun sign-enthusiasts amusing

I guess they signed regulars with four season contracts. I know Jaimee Foxworth's was up after season four and they didn't renew it. It's odd that they didn't sign him again since Waldo was a funny character that the audience liked.

By the end of the show it began to feel like everyone was disposable with how characters just vanished. Like there was no guarantee you could watch an episode and the character you liked would still be there.

Other than Steve, of course.

I like the way that you two think I completely agree with all of these opinions!

That's a perfect example of answering the question by NOT answering the question.

We already KNOW his contract wasn't extended. What we don't know is WHY his contract wasn't extended. For example, Jo Marie Payton left because she felt her character wasn't going anywhere and there was too much focus on Steve Urkel.

That said, I understand whatever reason there was for him not returning after Season 7 is entirely his business and we're not entitled to know.

To me, his contract should have been renewed. I thought that Shawn was a great addition to the show.

God bless you and him always!!!
