It would been absolutely epic if James and Florida were around the moment in the episode where Keith slapped Thelma. I wondered how they would have handled that situation. James would have been furious and immediately wanted to hurt Keith, but I expect Florida would have tried to calm him down.

JJ is not a fighter, and Michael, though militant and stuff, was a bit effeminate.Listen to his response when Keith tried to make amends.

Whether James was present, out of town or at the pool hall, if he found out within minutes of it happening, Keith would be on the way to the hospital.
