Sideline reporters like Erin Andrews, Michelle Tafoya, Alex Flanagan, Jill Arrington, and many others are there for their looks and everyone knows it -- regardless of how well-prepared they might be (or not). Few people take them seriously otherwise. It's a trade-off. Hot chicks get attention.

You know that the wife of the player or coach is watching, so they have to control themselves and not drool visibly when interviewed.

Andrews belongs in the studio, where that mane of hair can be let loose. Of course, she wears glasses a lot in there, to look more studious/intelligent

That's where she can pull in some viewers, like she did for college FB.

Hard to believe Michelle Tafoya is out there for her looks. Is she the best her employer could do??

As for Erin Andrews, she was shaky because she was next to an NFL player who, seemingly out of the blue, started ranting and raving like nobody's business. He sounded crazy, and you never know what a crazy person will do next. But she wasn't afraid to ask him what the hell he was talking about.

The second guy who interviewed Sherman do so after Sherman had calmed down a bit.

Not NEARLY as much as he was with Andrews. He had calmed down considerably by the time Werder got a hold of him. His state of mind was completely different by that time. He was speaking much more calmly, nowhere near as much adrenaline flowing.

It's idiotic to suggest that Andrews should be fired over this.

I mean, most of the women out there are professionals and it takes more than just good looks

Tracy Wolfson, Erin Andrews, Lisa Salters, Alex Flanigan and Michele Tafoya do look good, but they also do a good job on the sidelines and in case for those of you don't know, Tafoya will be hitting 50 this year
