"Big Bang Theory" Scoop: Details on James Earl Jones and Carrie Fisher's Guest Roles

James Earl Jones and Carrie Fisher will both guest-star in an upcoming episode of "The Big Bang Theory", TVGuide.com has confirmed.

As first reported by TVLine.com, the Star Wars alums — who played Darth Vader and played Princess Leia, respectively — will cameo as themselves on the CBS series.

But why exactly will they cross paths with Sheldon (Jim Parsons)?

"For the first time, Sheldon and the guys are locked out of Comic-Con tickets and they don't get in," showrunner Steve Molaro tells us. "Leonard, Wolowitz and Koothrappali are going to get scalped passes. Sheldon's solution is he is going to start his own comic book convention, he just needs one great panelist to make it happen. He realizes, through Twitter, where James Earl Jones is having sushi in Studio City and is going to confront him personally."

As for Fisher, Molaro would only tease, "She's got a very small, very funny, very weird part."

Sheldon’s quest to hold his own comic book convention is going to lead to a clash of two Star Wars legends on this week’s "The Big Bang Theory".

In the episode, Sheldon (Jim Parsons) decides to organize a convention after failing to get tickets to San Diego Comic-Con and somehow finds himself having a crazy night with James Earl Jones. Now, how that encounter leads to the one you see above in an exclusive photo, we can’t say.

Judging by that bat, however, we can pretty much guess that Fisher isn’t too happy to see Jones — or Sheldon, for that matter – on her doorstep. You can watch the outcome of this run-in when the episode airs on Thursday at 8 p.m. ET on CBS.

Also, we hope Sheldon has something to say about Fisher’s choice of self-defense. Because, ehem: lightsaber>bat.
