Default Two Episodes

I found it very funny how LITB treated men and women. In Found Wallet Beaver is told by Miss Hopkins that she will send him a nice present for his honesty. In Beaver Becomes a Hero Mr. Watson promises to send Beaver a little something for returning his boat.

The woman forgets to send Beaver a gift and Ward winds up sending Beaver a present presumably from the wallet lady.

The man not only sends Beaver $5 but also a nice note.

Miss Watkins would have been better off if she handed Beaver $10 in the police station. Wonder what she thought when she got that letter from Beaver?

There's also a reward and a woman involved in "Beaver's Cat Problem". Mrs. Prentiss is thankful, generous, and well meaning. But by the end of the episode her character is a dunderhead and comedic focus.

Right she was always referring to her cat as her precious Bootsy. She always seemed to have plenty of $1 bills.

I don't think the woman forgot to send Beaver anything I think she was just a tight broad and wanted to keep all her money.

That was great. I found it strange how all the time Beaver is waiting for someone to claim the money this broad is out of town. If you go out of town wouldn't you need your wallet with $89? If I went out of town and lost my wallet I would get back to Mayfield and go to the police station. Nowadays you can kiss that wallet good bye. Eddie was right to say "Found: One Wallet" and not draw a map. Imagine saying Found a green wallet found on Grant Avenue with $89. How stupid.

Yeah, I believe that if you are careless enough not to have an ID with that wallet then the old rule stands....finders - keepers. If I see someone drop money I will hand it back to them, but if I see money out in the open with no ID and didn't see someone drop it? I'm going shopping! That is fair.

Once at work I came to my desk area to find $60 on the floor. I thought I knew who it belonged to and asked this "flakey" girl if she was missing any money. She checked her pocket and said no...I knew it had to be hers because of the way the money was folded but I gave her a chance to claim it and she didn't so I took it.
