I was just wondering if Aunt Clara and Endora sisters. I also thing Bertha and Enchantra were too.

When Samantha revealed to Aunt Clara, she was pregnant with Tabitha, Aunt Clara said, "Oh, that means I'll be a great-aunt". If she was Samantha's great-aunt, she would have said, that she will be a great-great aunt.

It seems like Clara should be Endora's aunt, but Endora refered to her as Clara, or your (Sam's) Aunt Clara.

I guess we have to conclude that Clara was Endora's older sister. I think Hagatha and Enchantra were Endora's sisters also. Unless they were Maurice's sisters(?) I don't think Bertha was an aunt.

Actually, I don't think any of this was ever explained.

of course it's possible Clara was Endora's sister, but I like to believe that she was her aunt and Samantha's great-aunt.

Also, Clara could have been Samantha's father's sister, though this is never alluded to.

I think Clara, Endora, Enchantra, and Hagatha were all sisters. Arthur was their baby brother. Clara and Enchantra looked to be the oldest of the group, depending on which actresses were playing Enchantra and Hagatha in the episodes. I don't believe that Bertha was ever called "Aunt Bertha" in an episode. Seemed like Bertha and Mary were just mutual friends of Clara's when they visited Samantha in episode 7.

Serena tells Mrs. Stephens that she is Samantha's cousin on her father's side, so Maurice had to have had at least one sibling, but who that is was never specified.

I always assumed that Clara was from Maurice’s side of the family, since they were both kinder and gentler than Endora. But I don’t think they ever specified this, unlike Uncle Arthur, whom I believe they said was Endora’s brother.

In "Endora Moves in for a Spell" season 3 Endora confesses to Uncle Arthur that as a kid she was jealous when Arthur was born because up till then she was "an only child." So I just assumed Clara assumed she was Maurice's older sister. Of course Clara could be Endora's older sister who was grown and already out of the house when Endora was born.

I always thought Clara was from Sam's side of the family. Sam treats her like "real" family.

Yes, maybe Clara was born a few hundred years ahead of Endora.

Besides what tcr said about Endora being an only child until Arthur was born, Maurice seems nicer to Clara than Endora is, so I'll go with Clara being Maurice's older sister.
