BBC America Releases First Photo of Peter Capaldi as "Doctor Who"
See The First On-Set Photo from "Doctor Who" Featuring Peter Capaldi as The Doctor
1/7/14 Production has begun for the upcoming season of "Doctor Who" and BBC America has released the first image of Peter Capaldi as the titular Time Lord. Capaldi, who plays the latest regeneration of the Doctor, made an appearance during last year's 50th Anniversary Special, and (finally) on the Christmas Special, but this is the first image of him on the set of the long-running British sci-fi series. In a statement released by BBC America, Capaldi said, “New job, first day, slightly nervous. Just like the Doctor, I'm emerging from the TARDIS into a whole other world.” Steven Moffat, "Doctor Who" executive producer and showrunner was also quoted in the statement saying, “First the eyebrows!
