Default If Certain TV Shows Went On 1 More Season.....

Which actors/actresses would not have continued in those shows?

LAVERNE AND SHIRLEY- Cindy Williams already left at the end of season 7. Penny Marshall wasn't shown that much in season 8. I think it was stated that Penny Marshall would not have done a 9th season.

ALF- None of the cast would have done a 5th season. They were all eager to jump ship and the end of season 4. All I hear about this show was how bad it was behind the scenes. The guy who played the dad on the show left the set right after his final scene was taped.

ROSEANNE- Roseanne Barr stated she wishes she would have done a 10th season, but John Goodman would not have done a 10th season. He was rarely shown in the 9th season.

CHEERS- Ted Danson was done after the 11th season. If they had done a 12th season, he would not be in that.

THREE'S COMPANY- If the show was still kept Three's Company and not Three's A Crowd, Priscilla Barnes would not have done a 9th season of Three's Company. She has stated she wanted off the show after her first season and was not going to go for another season after the 8th.

FAMILY MATTERS- I think most of them would have done a 10th season. From what I have read over the years, they were supposed to do a 10th season, but the sets and such were already destroyed.

DESIGNING WOMEN - Annie Potts had already decided not to return to the show for its 8th season before it was cancelled.

WINGS - I once read that Tony Shalhoub was not coming back for season 9 if they had one.

THE BRADY BUNCH - I had always heard that if the show returned for a sixth season, it would have been without Robert Reed.

GILLIGAN'S ISLAND - Tina Louise would not have come back for a fourth season.

**Maybe**

NEWSRADIO -On the DVD commentary, Stephen Root said he felt Maura Tierney wouldn't be back if the show returned for a sixth season. Creator Paul Simms was unaware of that and learned it in the commentary.

FRASIER - John Mahoney was sick of the show after Season 8, but he hung in there for the last few seasons. There's no way he would have agreed to do a Season 12, as they had to practically threaten him to do the Series Finale.

After it ended, he stated he was trying everything to forget Frasier.

(Kelsey Grammer likely would have done a few more Seasons though)

BEWITCHED-Elizabeth Montgomery probably wouldn't have done a 9th season. he didn't want to do an eighth, I know.

NewsRadio - I recall Andy Dick saying that he wouldn't have stayed for as season 6, he didn't want to be there after PH's death and was obligated to be in season 5. Heck, I wouldn't be surprised if most of the cast and crew didn't want to just put the show to bed after the tragic event.

The Office - Season 10 would not have had Ed Helms or John Krasinski, and RW's Dwight would've been spun-off. I couldn't imagine JF sticking around if Jim was gone, but it wouldn't be unfathomable, like on Murphy Brown when 'Miles' left and Faith Ford his wife stayed on the show and they eventually had to break them up off screen.
