Question GameCube

I understand that Nintendo Gamecubes are available in America right now, am I correct? The Gamecube isn't being launched in Britain untill 3rd May but it looks pretty amazing!
What are the games like? Does anyone have 'Smash Bros. Mellee'? I've seen some screen shots from it and it looks awesome!!
I mentioned before that I've just bought a Gameboy Advance and I'm told that it's possible to play your GBA through the Gamecube. Is that true, and if so, how effective is it? Is it cool or does it just feel a bit naff?
And since I'm on the subject of the GBA - is 'Sonic Advance' any good?

Yep. It's been out here in the States since November, I believe; around the same time the X-Box came out.

But I wish I could tell you more. I lost all touch with video games during the heyday of the SNES and Sega Genesis. I'm trying to get into them again, though. I bough a Gameboy Advance in November, but the only game I have for it is Super Mario Advance.

I'm not letting my video game-buying get in the way of my DVD and CD buying... and rent.

Yeah, I'm pretty much the same. I gave up on video games after my trusty ol' SNES went out of style and I'm only just getting back into them now.
No video games are ever gonna get in the way of me building my DVD collection though!!!

With video games, my thing is this - I can't get used to "3D" games. I'm more used to side scrollers.

Call me old-fashioned if you must. But I love me some Super Mario Bros. 3 (the best game of all time, I might add; right in front of Donkey Kong Country and Super Mario World).

I probably will be getting a GameCube within the next few months, though. I'm sure if I play with it long enough, I'll get used to these new-fangled platform games.

Thumbs up

I have Super Smash Bro's Melee! It's great! It has a lot of game play.

For some reason I thought the GameCube came to the UK before it got to the US...

If you like to control little guys I recomend you check out Pikmin. The story is a bit lame but the game play more than makes up for that!

I don't have a Gameboy Advance so I can't help you with anything there. Sorry.

As for the side scrolling comment, I totally agree! I love my SNES and NES! I almost didn't get an N64 because I was angry that my beloved Super Nintendo was being pushed aside by the new system. But I figured I might as well keep up with the times...

Default GameCube looks Groovy!

There are some awesome games on GCN (GameCube) and it will be my next console purchase. Super Smash Brothers Melee (sequel to the best fighter ever made), Sonic Adventure Battle 2, Mario Sunshine, Pac-Man World 2, ESPN International Winter Sports 2002, NFL2K3, Home Run King and many other games either out or coming for the system look awesome. Sega's support (inculding the aformentioned Sonic and Sega Sports) add to the grooviness that is the COOL CUBE!

Gamecube... let's see... same games as Playstation 2 and same graphics? Oh, I've seen it! It's a lil box?

Actually, the Playstation 2 typically has more fighting games than Nintendo. That's why I prefer Nintento.

I've found the best part of the Gamecube is the controllers. They are so comfy!

I have a gamecube. The only game I have for it is Simpsons Road Rage. It's a sweet game. I can't wait for the new Mario game and the new Zelda Game.

I don't have a gamecube but I've played them in the mall. They seem to be fun.
