Within the past year I've seen 2 different men who were wearing suspenders and a belt together.

BTW, Steve/Stephan was my dopple ganger growing up. I do wear suspenders. They are still in style along with the bowtie that has made a comeback. I wear them both.

I'm not an older man and am lean/fit. I wear them as a fashion choice. It's all about how you make a look work for you. Steve to me was a slave to nerd fashion when it came to wearing them. LOL.

Sorry Thomas E., I was just thinking about some of my older relatives wearing them. I can see them being fashionable.

Well, the older generation does wear them but the younger generation or any generation who is fashion conscientious can make it work. I love bowtie and suspender sets. Its old school mixed with a modern touch. Sometimes I will take a juke joints 20's or 30's look and sport that. My niece told me that one of my outfits was similar to what the old people at her church would wear. I told her that where I live, fashion can be brought to life. Some current styles are based on old school fashion. I love putting outfits together. I'm a bowtie, hat and suspender wearing guy.

Back to the point of the thread- that's not real life.

However, yes- plenty of men wear suspenders if they choose to do so. Larry King is a great example. (lol at "for the last 113 years".) - come on- he's not quite that old.

And yeah- The Eleventh Doctor has made bowties cool again for people in real life to wear too.

I use to wear suspenders when i was a kid back in the late 1990's nobody made fun of me but if i wore suspenders as a grown man now in the year 2013 going on 2014 in a few days i am sure people would make my life a living nightmare because i would get strange and creepy looks from people like does this guy think he's steve urkel are something muhahahahaha lol, i went to wal mart a few weeks ago to get some suspenders and the cashier person was giving me weird looks she must of been thinking to herself why in the world is this man buying suspenders lol.

I use to work in a office and a guy that worked in the company wore them a lot but most people didn't. I hate them.

I love them. As I said before, they are a sharp kind of style. I adapt to that style with no problem.

I use to work with a girl in an office who was married with a kid and wore them but I don't remember if they were that high or not. She said she bought them like that. I don't know if you can actually buy high water pants or she bought them in a petite since she was thin and wasn't short.
