Update: TNT Cancels "Mob City"
TNT's "Mob City" Opens to a Soft 2.3 Million Viewers
12/5/13 by Michael O'Connell "Mob City" premiered on TNT Wednesday night. Something of an experiment for the procedural-driven network, the period piece did not prove to be much of a game changer with an average 2.3 million viewers off the bat. There's little to compare to "Mob City". While this opening is far south of summer flagship fare "Rizzoli & Isles" and "Falling Skies", its December launch and "event" billing are outliers for the Turner network. In the network's targeted adults 25-54 bracket, "Mob City" raked in 875,000 viewers. "Mob City" hails from Frank Darabont (The Walking Dead) and is a 1940s Los Angeles set drama about the rampant corruption of the time. Former "Walking Dead" actors Jon Bernthal and Jeffrey DeMunn star on the series. Doubling up for all six episodes of its order, "Mob City" airs its next two installments on Dec. 11 and 18. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jeffrey_DeMunn |

Who cares that the ratings are low. A lot of people don't like action tv shows and i don't care because i like action tv shows. I haven't watched it yet but i will next Wednesday. I liked the commercials i've seen. Dark Blue had low ratings when it was on TNT and that's why it was cancelled but that doesn't mean it wasn't a good show. I got the first season on dvd and i'm gonna get the 2nd season. Dylan McDermott and Omari Hardwick were good on there. I miss Fastlane tv show also with Bill Bellamy and Tiffany Amber Theissen and i'm glad i got it on dvd.

"Mob City" Not Returning for Season 2
Feb 10, 2014 by Kate Stanhope It's the end of the road for "Mob City". The Los Angeles-based noir drama from "The Walking Dead" creator Frank Darabont will not return for a second season. "Mob City was created as a three-week television event, and we are incredibly proud of the six hours we presented of this remarkable drama," TNT said in a statement Monday. "Although the ratings of the limited series haven't warranted more hours, we are eager to work with Frank Darabont again and were delighted to bring the vibrant world of Mob City to life." Starring "Walking Dead" alum Jon Bernthal, Neal McDonough, Milo Ventimiglia and Ed Burns, among others, the series focused on the clash between gangsters and the L.A.P.D. back in the 1940s. "Mob City" premiered to 2.29 million viewers in December, and dropped to 1.35 million viewers in its third and final week. This was Darabont's first TV project since he abruptly left "The Walking Dead" midway through the hit AMC drama's second season back in 2011. http://www.tvguide.com/News/Mob-City...g-1077529.aspx |
