Why I love Gilligan's Island

The TV show I used to watch with the kids was CHUCK. We loved it. Then the show ended and after a while I started searching for another show that I could watch with my kids. The task was not an easy one. I didn't like watching much of the Disney channel and most of the other shows that aired, I didn't want my young children watching. They couldn't get interested in the Dukes of Hazzard.

Then I purchased season one of Gilligan's Island one day. I watched a few episodes. It took me back to my youth.

Then I started watching the shows in order and my daughter started watching them with or without me. So I bought the entire series. I ended up giving the extra box set of season one to my daughter. She watched disk one over and over, not realizing that there was more to the season than just one disk.

Both of my children ask if I want to watch an episode of Gilligan's Island. And they ask often.

Season one has 36 episodes, so we're still working on it, but we will make it to The Rescue Of Gilligan's Island.
