Default Favorite Sylvester Stallone Movies

Up until this summer I didn't like Sylvester Stallone very much. I blamed him for how really poor the Saturday Night Fever sequel Staying Alive was, since he was cowriter and director. Also, the man's 67 and still making action pictures. Though I did see and enjoyed The Expendables. What changed it for me as far as Stallone goes was seeing Rocky this summer. What an amazing movie! Both Stallone's screenplay and performance are brilliant. Rocky III, which Stallone wrote, directed and starred in in 1982 is even more brilliant than the first! I've spent the last couple of month watching many of Stallone's movies and here are some of my favorites so far. What are you'res?

1. Rocky III (1982)
2. Rocky (1976)
3. Nighthawks (1981)
4. First Blood (1982)
5. Rocky IV (1985)
6. The Expendables (2010)
7. Tango and Cash (1989)
8. Cobra (1986)
9. Cliffhanger (1993)
10. Over The Top (1987)

I haven't seen Rocky II or any of the Rambo sequels yet.

Rocky
First Blood
Clifthanger

I haven't really watched a lot of Stallone movies. The sequels to Rocky and Rambo were pretty good . I still haven't seen the final ones of the bunch that came out a few years ago though.

I love the Rocky and Rambo series. My favorites are Rocky / Rocky Balboa and First Blood / Rambo.

I also love The Expendables films.

I like many of his action films from the '80s-'90s:

Cobra (1986)
Lock Up (1989)
Tango & Cash (1989)
Cliffhanger (1993)
Demolition Man (1993)
The Specialist (1994)
Daylight (1996)
Cop Land (1997)

These are the films of his that I don't care for:

Rhinestone (1984)
Oscar (1991)
Stop! Or My Mom Will Shoot (1992)
Judge Dredd (1995)
Get Carter (2000)

I didn't get around to his recent Bullet to the Head and Escape Plan yet.

I've actually seen Stop! Or My Mom Will Shoot. I think we should just forget that he made that one.

I want to see Rocky Balboa soon. It received good reviews and did well. I think Rambo failed though. People didn't go see it. That's one role he's too old for now.

I have to go with Rocky (1976). I love that movie! The first is always the best.

LOL@Rhinestone, Oscar, Stop Or My Mom Will Shoot, Avenging Angelo hahahahahahahahahahahaha. Those movies are terrible. I liked Get Carter. JamesG, don't waste your time with Escape Plan because it sucked.

Rocky III and Rocky IV
Rambo 2 and Rambo IV
The Expendables 1 and 2
Cobra
Tango And Cash
Bullet To The Head
Assassins
The Specialist(he's a lucky man to have sex with Sharon Stone LOL)

A lot of people don't know about a movie he did called Shade that was straight to video. Jamie Foxx, Melanie Griffith, Thandie Newton, Gabriel Byrne are also in it and it's about people gambling playing cards at a underground casino and Sylvester was in charge of the casino. Melanie Griffith was his girlfriend. I liked it. I can't believe Sylvester is gonna be in the new wack movie Grudge Match with Robert Deniro, Kevin Hart, Kim Basinger, LL Cool J. LOL@Sylvester and Robert are boxers and they're gonna fight each other hahahahahahahahahaha. Nobody wants to see two old men fighting LOL. For those who don't know, Sylvester recently wrote the screenplay and produced Jason Statham and James Franco's new movie Homefront which i saw yesterday and it's very good.

I forgot about Nighthawks with Billy Dee Williams, Lindsay Wagner, Rutger Hauer. That's a good movie. I liked the ending when Sylvester was wearing a woman's wig pretending to be Lindsay so he could fool Rutger and when Rutger saw it was him, Sylvester killed him hahahahahahahahahahahaha. Rutger is good at playing a bad guy because he was one in Surviving The Game with rapper Ice T and Charles Dutton. That's a good movie also. Copland sucked and i was very disappointed and it was some good actors in that like Ray Liotta, Robert Patrick, Harvey Keitel, Robert Deniro, Malik Yoba.
