DNA tests connected a few of the cases up and also paint chips were found at a few of the scenes , matching to paint used at a mall sight down in San Bernardino, California. |

Wow that sounds potentially promising. 2013 has already been such an eventful year for cold cases...it would be beyond amazing if more info. came up on this monster.
I still think the EAR/ONS is the single most terrifying unsolved string of cases EVER. If you made a movie about it, people would think it was the most outlandish fiction! |

Good to hear there's still work being done on this.
The paint chip evidence is good, but far from a smoking gun. I'm not holding my breath that this new lead will break the case anytime soon. |

I listened to an interview with Michelle McNamara (Truecrimediary.com - she wrote the LA Mag "Golden State Killer" story and it writing a proper book about the EAR/ONS), and she said that she thinks the case is close to being solved, based on her discussions with LE. I will believe it when I see it. I can't wait for the book to come out, and yet I think i'll be too scared to read it.
