Okay, I've started a new fic, but I'm not sure exactly where it's going so, you'll just have to read it and draw your own conclusions...

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

(Jinny threw open the curtains of her bedroom in her new apartment and looked out. She watched the cars and people three stories below her and smiles to herself. She was finally back in her own place, having lived with her dad for the last nine months, since her return from Rehab. Jinny still shivered at the thought of that place. The hell she’d gone through there was far worse, in her opinion, than anything she’d experienced while drinking. But, she thought, that chapter of her life was closed, and she’d found ways to substitute for her drinking and was back on track with her life. She’d saved a good bit of money staying with her dad and by not having to spend it on alcohol. She had her own place again, and with a little help from her dad, a new car. She’d managed to get rid of some of that black in her closet, but only some of it, and add a little color. She liked the black, it made her profession easier, she thought. Made people look at her and respect her more, because they were more apt to believe she meant business. Truth be know, she like the color, Magda said it made her look alive.)

(The knock on the door startled her. She looked at her watch. She’d wanted to be unpacked by now and almost ready to go, but then he was early. She hadn’t even found what she had wanted to wear tonight. She began frantically searching through the still packed boxes for her newest black slacks and red blouse. The knock at the door reminded her of her still waiting visitor and she rushed to greet him. She ran to the door, lest he think her not home, and opened it.)

Jinny: You’re early. (running a hand through her hair, nervously) I haven’t even showered yet.

Teddy: And exactly what have you been doing here? (walks in) Alone? (closes the door) (arms around her) All by yourself?

Jinny: (relaxing) (arms around him, smiling) Daydreaming.

Teddy: Daydreaming? (pause, smiling) About anyone in particular?

Jinny: Maybe. (kisses him)

Teddy: Maybe?

Jinny: (kisses him again, then walks away) Yeah, your parents. Teddy, I just don’t think this is the best of ideas.

Teddy: Jinny, they’ll love you, I promise.

Jinny: No, they would have loved me...before...had I been sober.

Teddy: Jinny...

Jinny: No, Teddy. I made a fool out of myself the last time we met. I made a fool out of you! I just, I can’t go down there and pretend like that never happened...and they can’t either.

Teddy: Jinny, (taking her in his arms again) they’ll love you. I promise. I talked to them and I explained everything, they understand.

Jinny: They understand what? That I’m now sober, or that their son is a fool for falling for a girl like me when he could have some rich, blonde bimbo...

Teddy: Jinny, stop. There’s no point in making yourself feel bad over this. Just go and enjoy yourself, and remember, they’re paying for this, so eat hearty.

Jinny: (nods) Sure. (giving in)

Teddy: (steps on into the living room) You’ve got it looking nice.

Jinny: (perking up, Thank God he changed the subject) Oh yeah? Just don’t go into the bedroom.

Teddy: (turns, teasing) Oh, yeah? What are you hiding in the bedroom? Is he better looking than me?

Jinny: Yeah, and I haven’t met his parents yet, so...

Teddy: (discouraged) Jinny.

Jinny: Okay, I’m sorry. I’ll go, I’m just nervous. I don’t have to wear a dress, do I?

Teddy: No, not if you don’t want to.

Jinny: Good, but you owe me for this.

Teddy: Oh? What do I owe you? (moving closer, arms around her, kisses her on the neck) When do you want to collect?

Jinny: Um...(shakes her head) You’re not getting off that easily.

Teddy: (continues to kiss her neck and then finally on the lips)

Jinny: Okay, maybe you will, but don’t think every argument we have is going to be solved like this, I enjoy throwing things.

Okay, here's a little more of my newest fic, hope you enjoy it.....

(They made their way into the bedroom between kissing and trying to get each others clothes off. Teddy nearly tripped over a couple of boxes on his way to the bed and Jinny laughed. He feigned a hurt look and Jinny came up to kiss him. He grabbed her around the waist and pulled her down onto the bed on top of him, her laughing all the way. They stopped, silent, gazing into each others eyes. They stayed that way for several minutes; Jinny smiled and Teddy returned her smile. He reached up to kiss her but she backed away, still smiling. He put a hand behind her head and pulled her to him, kissing her softly, then harder, his free hand moving up and down her back lightly. He undid the fastens holding her bra on, throwing it across the floor. The remainder of their clothes were gone in short order. They had been back together for six short months, probably Jinny’s longest relationship. Each time they made love seemed like the first all over again. Their hunger for each other never seemed to be quenched, no matter how often the tried.)

(They lay on the bed for a few minutes gasping for breath, arm in arm. Jinny was still on a high far better than any drug she could have taken. She was afraid at first she’d never be able to satisfy a man if she were sober, but she found out she was wrong. She had been satisfied far beyond her wildest imagination. Yes, she could live with being sober if all men were as good as the one laying beside her, not that she was in any hurry to find out about other men. Jinny looked at her watch and gasped, jumping up.)

Jinny: Oh, no! We have to go! I need to shower! Oh, God, we’re going to be late! (frantically running around, gather her things)

Teddy: Jinny. Calm down, it’s okay. We’re not going to be late. We still have plenty of time. That’s another reason I stopped by. They had to push the reservations back an hour themselves. So you have plenty of time. Relax (rubbing her bare back, kissing her neck). You have plenty of time to look beautiful.

Jinny: (pushing him away, teasing) Oh yeah? Relaxing like that is what got us into this mess.

(Jinny went to shower, but it wasn’t long before Teddy joined her. Jinny found it difficult to resist his tempting efforts to engage her, and soon they were running behind again. Jinny dressed quickly and dried her hair. Teddy dressed and watched her fix her hair and make up, while they talked.)

Jinny: God, they already hate me, now I’m making their son a rebel, they’re going to LOVE me, now. First a tattoo, now tardiness. Next we’re going to be running off to Vegas to get married.

Teddy: Now, there’s an idea. (gets up and leans against the sink, where Jinny is applying her make-up)

Jinny: What? (looking at him)

Teddy: Vegas.

Jinny: (nervous pause) Did you ever tell them about that tattoo?

Teddy: (smiling, shakes his head) So Vegas isn’t an option?

Jinny: (looks at him, then back to the mirror)

Teddy: (rambling) Cause, I mean, it would be fine with me, if that’s what you wanted. Remember, I’ve had a taste of wedding planning and I must admit, that I’m not sure all that....that....(looking at Jinny watching him, stops)

Jinny: (embarrassed) I wasn’t really serious about Vegas.

Teddy: Oh, (nods) Okay.

(They look at each other for several minutes, then Jinny turns back to the mirror, slowly. Teddy couldn’t hide the hurt he felt. He slipped the box a little further into his pocket; he’d take it out first chance he got. Jinny startled him, when he spoke again.)

Jinny: ....Teddy, hey.

Teddy: (looks up)What?

Jinny: I’m ready to go. (pause, looking at his long face) You okay? You act like you were going to propose or something.

Teddy: I was.

Jinny: (shocked look)

Teddy: (smiles) No, really. I was just daydreaming. (bigger smile) Let’s go. You’re beautiful, my parents will love you.
