Default UM Cases That Should Be Movies?

They are in the process of making a movie about the UM case 'Friends Till The End' The film is called 'The Tracks' I believe.

But what other cases should get the movie treatment?

Beverly McGowan
Cindy James
Anthoinette Cayedito
(case about the schizophrenic man who jumped off an airplane)
Blair Adams
Krystal Spencer
Adam and Elaina Emery

I would love to see the Beverly McGowan one become a movie. Glenn Close or Tabatha Coffey (if she was an actress) would get my vote to play Elaine Parent.

The Cindy James case would make an interesting movie too. Who would play her role though?

The Cindy James case would have to have a mostly Canadian cast. Maybe Megan Follows could play her?

I'm thinkin' maybe Julie Stewart could play Cindy if we were looking for a Canadian cast? Megan Follows might be better in the role of Beverley! Darryl Hannah would also make a good Cindy.

I agree, Tabitha would be GREAT as Elaine Parent...so would Siobhan Fahey, or if Joanna Lumley was still in her early 40's. Madonna would be okay as Elaine as well, obviously not for the acting, but for her ability to change her look and become a chameleon like Elaine did (and Madonna has the fake British accent down )

The Circleville Letters, Tommy Ziegler, and Eric Tamiyasu cases would make interesting movies.

They sure have enough twists in them.

Off-beat one, the story of Walter "Curly" Green, particularly about returning home from WWI to find out that his love had married another man, seems like something out of a Nicholas Sparks book/movie.

A couple of UM cases have already been made into movies

"Summer of Sam" (which, admittedly, only features Berkowitz as one of an ensemble cast of characters, and doesn't pursue UM's "multiple killers" suggestion)
"Fatal Vision" ( the Miniseries of Joe McGinnisses book about Jeffrey MacDonald , which [correctly, in my view] presents McDonald as the killer and rejects the "crazed hippies" nonsense)
"Zodiac"

Oh my goodness, I thought I was the only one who thought she could play Cindy James. I was going to say that originally but wasn't too sure. Madonna should play the Elaine Parent roll, she's got the looks and the accent down.

Frank Olson

I'd like to see a well researched movie about the Cleveland killings. There's supposedly a project that's been in the works for years, but hopefully the screenplay won't run in a similar vein to all the bunk that the various Jack the Ripper movies have portrayed....

More to come. Friends to the end will make a great one because of all the shadowy local govt allegations.

I can see Jim Van Bebber ("The Manson Family", "My Sweet Satan") doing a good flick on SKATE and the Ellender double homicide. His movies are very colorful and over-the-top at times, but he's good at sticking to the facts, too, and surely doesn't shy away from any violence.
