Why did goodtimes portray a unattractive woman who thought she gave JJ a STD.... and yes, I am keeping it real....she looks like a man to me...lololololol

I think it was the producers decision to have a unattractive woman to play that role....that is just my opinion

I don't think Ta-Tanisha was unattractive. Beautiful dark skinned woman who can sport an Afro. I have to disagree on this one.

She wasn't that bad looking. I don't think they gave her a good makeup job. She looked much better less than a year later when she was on the Puppy Love episode of What's Happening.

JJ had uglier dates than her, I just can't think of them off the top of my head.

She's not unattractive because she's dark skinned. Brenda Sykes was one of J.J's dates Mandy and she was a gorgeous dark skinned sista. Debbi Morgan too. She just wasn't all that!

I said that she was a "beautiful, dark skinned woman". I never said anything more than that. I was implying that she has a gorgeous, skin tone. Never said anything about her being dark skinned as though it was a negative.

Look at JJ's other women that he have dated, do you think the producers would have a very sexy attractive looking woman, saying that she gave JJ an STD and been around the block many of times? I am not saying because she is dark skinned that she was unattractive, I am saying the way she looked with her apperance, no make up etc. for tv....look at how thelma look, always appealing for television, hair, makeup etc.

Have you seen the episode when she played Marcy. That short, well made up Afro, the hoop earrings and the build and beautiful dark skin and smile? Terrific!!! I don't think she looked half bad in the VD episode for someone that has to play down the unattractive part. She looked all right in the penultimate ep of the show when JJ was hitting the club scene and found TC there.

Shoot, I don't know what ya'll talkin' 'bout...Ta-Tanisha was ALL OVER THE TV back in the day -(late 60's-70's) I thought she looked like a regular chick like the rest of us....NEVER thought she was "unattractive"...Wish I coulda rocked my 'fro like she did...As a matter of fact, I thought she looked BETTER than Debbi Morgan....Wonder what she's doing these days? I tried to look her up on the net a couple years ago, and could find very little info....

She did not look sexy or appealing for the cameras....I think the producers made her look bored and tired looking with her appearance to play that VD role...the producers did not spruce up her looks.....NOT AT ALL!!!!
