Audience laughing innapropriately - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

Something that has bothered me for many years is when i'm watching a comedy tv show, and someone laughs innapropriately. Iv'e seen scenes where right in the middle of a sad or intense scene, you can hear laughter in the audience. An example of this would be the episode the other night where Malloy's friend commits suicide and during a very intense scene someone in the audience busts out in laughter. Another thing that annoys me is when someone in the audience is coughing up a lung throughout an entire episode just to be heard on television. Now i'm definitely not going to lose sleep over this little annoying problem, but I just don't understand why people do this. Is there anybody else who gets even a little annoyed with this?

Ugh that annoys me too. I've never heard anyone laughing at serious things, but its annoying when people laugh at stupid jokes.
