I liked both but, Lucy by a hair since her show lasted longer than the Honeymooners.

No comparison
HoneyMooners was way ahead of it's time and I Love Lucy was not on the same level I Love Lucy was a 50's version of the Brady Bunch and the HoneyMooners was a 50's version of All in the Family |

The Honeymooners was more of an adult show, dealing with more serious topics. It does almost feel like a 70's sitcom. Lucy Ricardo was fantastic, but Ralph Kramden is one of my favorite characters ever. Lucy was always trying to break into show business. She performed endless physical comedy. Ralph was always coming up with ideas to better life for him and Alice. The Honeymooners was more realistic, and full of heart. I grew up on reruns of both I Love Lucy and The Honeymooners. I've always loved The Honeymooners more. It's still one of my top ten shows of all time. |
