Cool

I would Zack was more of a con artist. His schemes were always for selfish gain. Alex usually started out with a good purpose (like making enough money to fix the damage Mallory did to their parents car) and once the money started coming in he'd lose control and the whole sheme would get out of hand.

O yeah eddy was a con artist but his tricks never worked with his parents or even steve urkel, if he ever got away with something his brain would remind him that he should confess and do the right thing, eddy only con steve in every other episode because steve had a good heart not only that but urkel was use to being taken advantage of by the winslows.

I wouldn't really consider Alex P. Keaton a con artist. He has pulled a few schemes at times I suppose, but he is quite a different character than Zack Morris. Zack is a scammer and he generally does it for selfish gain, though he also has some altruistic motives at times as well- though, of course, he doesn't use the best methods.
I think a better comparison for scammers and schemers would be Zack Morris from "Saved By The Bell", Parker Lewis from "Parker Lewis Can't Lose", Ferris Bueller from both "Ferris Bueller's Day Off" (1986 movie) and short-lived 1990 "Ferris Bueller" TV show, Mike Seaver from "Growing Pains" and Dennis Blunden from "Head of the Class".
I am sure there are others who could go in this list, but I would consider them sort of the scammer's hall of fame... (or perhaps hall of infamy)
Of course, I just thought of some others that could kinda fit, but they're not exactly in the same vein- Jack Tripper, Chrissy Snow and Janet Woods on "Three's Company" sure pulled a lot of crazy schemes too.

I would agree Alex is certainly smart enough to pull some scams, but in general he didn't as far as I remember. He certainly wanted to make money- no question about that- but he was also (generally) ethical in how he did it.
Zack was definitely very unethical in the scams he pulled- and he generally pulled a con job in most episodes. Thus, I consider him to be a con artist- but not Alex.
