If a series is "available", still want it on DVD? - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

On a thread about the upcoming release of "Flo" on DVD, one poster said he wasn't too excited since the series is already on the trading circut and some episodes are on YouTube. If you already can see a series online, do you still want the DVD out? I say yes because:
--especially if it's on YouTube online viewing can be of poor quality and prone to freezing.
--a lot of people don't have interesting items to trade or want to wade through the trading circut.
--even the best traded DVDs are of lower quality than most official releases.
What say you?

I have gotten several shows (Amen, The Golden Palace, Grace Under Fire, Hangin' with Mr. Cooper, Step by Step, Green Acres seasons 4-6, and a few more) on ioffer because they weren't officially available but if they do become available, I will buy the official sets.

it depends on what the show is - and I would be less likely to get the manufacture-on-demand sets, like Flo here.

I'm not interested in buying "Flo- The Complete Series" because I've never seen the series and don't really have a desire to do so. But I am glad for "Alice" fans, as I'm sure they're happy to have this spinoff released in its entirety on DVD.
I understand that many fans feel a need to go to such sources for TV shows (i.e. trading circuit and Youtube, etc.)- [particularly since so many shows have not been officially released and some might never be] but unless it's been officially posted online by the company that owns the show- it's an unofficial recording that would really count as a breach of copyright. On top of that, most of these recordings are not of the best quality, as you would hopefully find on an official DVD release.
So I always support an official DVD release. Certainly, if it's a show I'm interested and want to have a copy of on video, then I would purchase the official DVD set regardless of whether fans have posted videos on Youtube and/or made available for trading online.
