Dads, The Goldbergs, Mom, Sean Saves The World are the next ones to get axed by April 2014.

First-run sitcoms I watch:

ABC: The Neighbors

NBC: Sean Saves the World

CBS: Mom, 2 Broke Girls, & The Crazy Ones

FOX: none

CW: none

Cable: none

So, I would say CBS takes the cake with me.

I haven't watched a new sitcom in prime time since Married To The Kellys was canceled.

Did you have to include the last option? Like we don't have enough "MODERN SHOWS SUCK!!!!!" posts here as it is...

Anyway, it's pretty close but Fox takes the cake. NBC was easily the #1 a few years ago when they had the Parks/Community/Office/30 Rock line-up. ABC would be a strong contender too if they hadn't ditched Cougar Town, Happy Endings & Apartment 23.

EDIT: Oh, I didn't see the cable option. Cable has Louie, Veep, Always Sunny, Girls...all great shows but it seems kind of unfair to lump all of the networks together and pit them against single broadcast networks. But in terms of comedy FX may be the best network out there right now, of cable and broadcast.

SO OKAY, here's my final ranking:

1. FX/FXX (even though FXX is a stupid idea and I hate it)
2. Fox
3. HBO
4. NBC
5. ABC
6. Comedy Central
7. CBS

CBS-TBBT, The Millers, 2 Broke Girls, Mom, Mike & Molly
ABC-The Middle, Modern Family
Fox-Raising Hope
NBC-the Michael J. Fox Show

Raising Hope is better than TMJFS so I put Fox in 3rd place.

I'm aware of the dislike of all those horrible modern shows! It was a tongue in cheek option in the poll.

You did what I expected people to do with the cable option. In this day and age, there's many who only watch cable shows. That's why I put it as it's own option. But feel free to post your own individual cable network, like FX, if you want.

I voted for ABC. The Middle is easily the best current sitcom. The Goldbergs is the 2nd best with Welcome to the Family being pulled. The only other current sitcom I've stuck with is Raising Hope, the dramas are generally better.

CBS - Mike and Molly, Mom, The Big Bang Theory, The Millers, Two and a Half Men
FOX - Dads
NBC - Parks and Recreation
ABC - None

I've always enjoyed CBS comedies, so this was an easy choice.

Essentially, sitcoms are dead. They aren't pulling in the numbers anywhere near where they once did (or should be doing.) The networks rave about these shows, but when you see the numbers, they are dismal at best.

CBS, NBC & ABC are going to be obsolete in 10 years. TV is about to undergo a radical change soon, as it should, because the morons running the show and puling the purse strings have no clue what they are doing.

It seems the American public is more interested in reality shows and dark, disturbing dramas than wanting to laugh....but what you think about what is going on in our country today, who wants to laugh. But God knows we need a good laugh.

I actually voted for Fox because I'm dumb and missed the cable option lol. But I guess cable technically has the most comedies I enjoy. I still think there's plenty of good comedy left on broadcast though. Unfortunately, much of it gets cancelled pretty quickly.

I like FXX as a network, but I don't actually get the channel so it's useless to me. I just think splitting up into two networks was an unneccessary idea that's made a lot of FX's shows inaccessible to people who got them before (like me!).

How is the sitcom dead? The #1 show on network TV is a sitcom, and there's plenty of other highly successful ones too. I'm guessing you don't look at ratings very much if you consider the ratings for Big Bang Theory, Modern Family, How I Met Your Mother, ect, "dismal".
