What are some (fairly) popular shows from the 1980's and 1990's that have disappeared from syndication over the last decade or two? When was the last time you saw them?
1980's Archie Bunker's Place - TV Land had the show in the mid-2000's. I don't remember if they even finished the first run. I wasn't watching TV Land much when this show aired. Charles In Charge - After not seeing the show since the mid-'90s on WPIX, I was excited to find this on during the wee hours of Nick at Nite in 2003-2004. I last saw the show on my local WWOR channel around 2006. Dear John - Last seen on my local WWOR channel around 1997-1998. Eight Is Enough - Last seen on PAX TV in Summer 2000. I could be wrong... Growing Pains - It lasted a week or two on Nick at Nite in the mid-2000's. Teen Nick aired it in 2011 for a few weeks at 5:00am. Harry and the Hendersons - Last seen in the Summer of 1997 or 1998 on my local WNYW channel, part of an afternoon block, alongside Bewitched and I Dream of Jeannie. Head of the Class - Nick at Nite in the early-2000's. The Hogan Family - ABC Family for a few weeks in 2006. 1990's Blossom - WPIX last aired the show around 1996-1997. I haven't seen it on TV since. Saved by the Bell: The New Class - USA aired the show from 1997 until around 2001. It's been long forgotten in 2013. Hang Time - ABC Family aired the show in the afternoon around 2002-2004. City Guys - Not a show I need to watch again, but enjoyed as a kid. Reruns were on BET not too long ago. But that was either a stunt, or it did that horrible, because it was gone in weeks. Jesse - ABC Family aired it on weekends years ago, after USA dropped it. Unhappily Ever After - Last seen on my local FOX station in 2000 and 2001. I can't even recall the last time these sitcoms were in syndication: Empty Nest Mr. Belvedere My Two Dads Punky Brewster Silver Spoons Small Wonder Webster |

There is no doubt about putting Hang Time on DVD, but it should be in a complete DVD box set containing all 104 episodes in all six season, including closed captions. It has many good reasons, but if you disagree, then I will explain it thoroughly.

I can think of a few other "forgotten" shows from the last thirty years that should be released on DVD before that one. |

Murphy Brown, Cagney & Lacey, Dave's World, The Drew Carey Show, Evening Shade, Baywatch, Newhart, & Soap haven't been on in a few years or so.
I would love to see "Blossom" & "Unhappily Ever After" in syndication. |

It's interesting how some shows, no matter how big they were when they ran first-run, just don't stand the test of time. I'd say most of these shows do feel pretty dated now though.

* Most supporting cast members get changed. * The cast is even-numbered (eight) and the cast changes is also even-numbered (2 or 4). * They did not change both the main character (Daniella Deutscher as Julie Connor) and the funniest supporting character (Megan Parlen as Mary Beth Pepperton). Shows that contain cast changes are very hard to be put in DVDs. But what I saying is reasonable and that's why Hang Time should be on DVD and I have to predict that this show should be put in a complete DVD series box set, including closed captions. |

MURPHY BROWN
MAD ABOUT YOU STAR TREK: VOYAGER STAR TREK: DEEP SPACE NINE STAR TREK: ENTERPRISE DALLAS (you'd think that with the TNT revival being a hit, the reruns would turn up some where. But to be fair, I read that those prime-time soaps are hard to show in reruns) |

Major Dad is another very popular one that I dont think EVER got reran on any major mainstream channels. Golden Palace also hasnt aired again I dont think in close to 10 years. Becker was on WGN but hasnt that been off for a few years now?
