"Oz" Alum Kirk Acevedo Cast as Cop Maria's Criminal Brother
by Jay Bobbin October 24, 2013 "Blue Bloods" is getting some new blood, from someone familiar to fans of "Oz" and "Fringe". Now in its fourth season, the CBS police drama has cast Kirk Acevedo as the brother of Maria Baez (Marisa Ramirez) -- NYPD detective Danny Reagan's (Donnie Wahlberg) partner -- in the Friday, Nov. 22, episode, Zap2it has learned exclusively. His sudden reappearance is guaranteed to make things less than comfortable for his sister. They have a strained relationship to begin with, since he's a longtime criminal.
