Default Where are the TV Fans who still watch the shows they like at the time they come on?

I have no interest in DVR because I am not giving Comcast anymore money so i watch my shows live every week as soon as they come on.

Where are the other Live TV watchers???

Everything I watch is DVR. I do this so I can skip the commercials.

That's one of the reasons I do that. Another is because you can program your own lineup.

I don't watch much of anything on the networks and even when I watch shows on cable, I don't know that they're always live- I do sometimes make a point to tune in for a particular premiere of a special episode or something when I know about it, but even the shows I watch on cable are probably reruns most of the time.
I don't have DVR, so I watch more stuff on VHS, DVD or online.

I watch shows live when I'm home and free so there's no real rhyme or reason to it. I just watch live when I can and when I can't, I DVR or watch on hulu

Where are they? Back in 1981 where they belong. There's no way I would ever waste my time watching a show as it airs when 1/3 of it is commercials. I have better ways to spend my time and since I'm not going to live to be 400, I'm not going to waste hours and hours sitting through commercials.

Oh yeah- I'm really old school that way when it comes to older technology and such- lol.
I just watched a TV show on VHS last night actually- I have a tape of "America's Funniest Home Videos" themed around pets and released back in 1991 or so, I think- and it was fun to see Bob Saget hosting the show again with the original theme song I remember from when it first started airing and I was watching it as a kid. (I still love watching it now too though- Tom Bergeron does a great job with it.) And that show I watched on VHS was A LOT better, in my opinion, than anything available to me on TV at the time last evening.

Hey OP, do you have On Demand with ComCast? I do with TWC, and I also am NOT above using my VCR if necessary -It's how I got ALL of the Real McCoys when they used to be on TNN...

I'm confident there are a lot of people in countries like Switzerland,Sweden, the United Kingdom and many other nations who still enjoy the luxury of watching television the old fashioned way--when the show airs. However of course those countries commercial TV channels show a fraction of the amount of advertising American commercial TV channels do now.
