Default Is this now the way to get employment in 2013????

LOL

I know this story will upset a lot of people since a woman who was committing crime ended up not being arrested and received assistance with food. And now it was reported she has been given a job lol So I guess committing crime is the way to employment. wow

I heard the amount of food she purchased/took added up to $300.00. For a family of 4, is the a standard amount. I heard of people grabbing a few things, but $300. for food. It is sad that not every one can find work. Being a single doesn't make it easier for the mother. WAs life this bad in the 1930's??

Getting a job is difficult and it's sad that there's a lot of people unemployed especially blacks. Hearing about people stealing food doesn't surprise me because there's people doing that especially the ones that don't have a job. It's sad that a lot of people go without food for days in america.

Some people tried to turn that story into a race issue but I think it would be more of a gender issue because you know if a man was stealing food no female officer would not have bought him sh*T. They would have took his A$$ to jail whether he was white, chinese, spanish, or black

You're right. Was the woman that was stealing food black? America does have a issue with men not having a job and having to steal and sell drugs to get money because some people act as if it should be easier for men to get a job than women when that's not the case. It's not easy for men or women to get a job. This is what i don't like about white people especially white men job supervisors who discriminate against black men when they're trying to get a job. Even though there's more whites than blacks, i bet there's more unemployed black men than white men. White men supervisors would rather hire hispanic men than black men because they're racist and they feel they can pay hispanic men less than black men. They know hispanic men can't complain to the police about getting paid a low salary because a lot of hispanic men are in america illegally. I feel bad sometimes for hispanic men that are working hard and getting bullsh*t money because they're getting treated like slaves and they don't even know it. They're just so happy to be in america.

For the racist white people who think unemployed black men like selling drugs and robbing and killing to get money, black men don't like doing that because they don't wanna be in prison. Trust me that they would rather have a job than doing crime. Nobody likes going to prison because prison is a scary place and nobody wants to be sitting in a cell doing nothing and getting raped, getting beat up and sometimes killed.

Cool

I think it does help to draw attention to yourself if you're trying to get hired. But I think there are better ways to do that than committing a crime!

I expect as lot more crime since

1. food stamps are being decreased

2. food stamps for some are being cut completely

there was a local example here where a woman "stole" $2.78 from a public fountain to try and feed herself - she was caught by a local police officer and charged with theft.

the sad part is that they waste public resources prosecuting her, yet they are shutting down local food banks because of lack of funding.`
