Music Michael Jackson Tops FORBES List of Top-Earning Dead Celebs

The King of Pop reclaims his postmortem cash crown after ceding it last year to pal Elizabeth Taylor.

He earned the bulk of his bucks from two Cirque du Soleil shows, his Mijac Music catalog, recorded music sales and his half of the Sony/ATV publishing empire—which includes the copyright to hits by the Beatles, Lady Gaga, Eminem and Taylor Swift, among others.

Cool

I'm surprised there's a dead celebrity raking in more dough than Elvis!! He's been topping this list years!! (Of course some people don't believe he's dead!!!)

Michael definitely made a lot of money when he was alive and he wasted a lot of money because there was no excuse for him to be broke before he died. He must've made some smart investments before he died for him to be the highest paid dead celebrity. My only problem with him was dealing with little boys instead of women and him bleaching his skin to look white because he looked alright the way he was when he was black. I don't understand why he wasn't fine with the way he looked. He looked terrible before he died.

Okay I want to clear some things up. Michael loved women, he loved being around women, he was completely heterosexual. And he wasn't dealing with little boys as you say. His association with children was completely innocent, there was nothing sexual at all going on. He had his own children around him and he never did anything inappropriate with them. The accusations against him were all crap and nothing was proven. As far as I'm concerned he was innocent. I don't need to be shown a verdict of not guilty on all 10 counts against him to know that he didn't do anything.
As for his skin, he had a skin disorder called vitiligo. It's where the skin loses all color or pigment. There is no cure for it and yes it is a real disease. If you need proof, it even said that he had vitiligo on his autopsy report.
I just hate that people accept things they see and hear rather than the truth. Most everything said and written about Michael was pure trash.
The man was a freaking genius, he had a huge, generous heart, he was funny, and despite what some people think, he was a beautiful human being.
I miss him so much everyday and it's still breaks my heart that he's gone. I will always miss him and love him till the day I die.

I heard that he had a skin disease but i don't believe it. But if you say that's what happened, then i believe you. Looks like you've done your research. I don't believe he molested those boys either but i just thought it was odd that he was letting them spend the night at his house in his bedroom when he should've let them sleep in another bedroom. I love Michael Jackson and i want you to know that. I'm not trying to diss him. I love his music. I got several of his albums that he did with his brothers like The Jacksons(this has Enjoy Yourself and Show You The Way To Go), Destiny, Triumph, Victory and i got his Off The Wall, Thriller, Dangerous albums. I wanna get his Bad album but my dad has that. I was very disappointed in his last album Invincible. Too many bad songs on that. I like his Stranger In Moscow song on greatest hits album History.
