A little early to discuss this episode, but something just occurred to me: I know that Fraser was angry about having to work on Christmas day, but why did he go to work in a grubby pair of jeans and a ratty sweatshirt. Have we ever seen Fraser dress so poorly?
Plus, I just checked the temperature for Seattle on December 25, 1993, and the temperature dropped to -2 degrees Celsius, it would have been rather chilly to be out without a jacket. I think the Hollywood writers boned the fish on how cold it gets outside of La La Land.

The show was usually pretty accurate on the Seattle weather in most eps but there have been a few where they were completely off. You're right it gets very cold in the winter in Seattle and they would need to be wearing coats, as a matter of fact there were episodes where they were wearing coats in December. I don't know why Frasier wasn't wearing one. I have seen Frasier dress that way in the past. The episode Duke's, We Hardly Knew Ye, he and Martin are sharing a beer in the now abandoned bar and Frasier is wearing the same raggedy old clothes in that scene.
He did wear jeans quite often in the show from time to time. Niles was the one that always wore slacks or a suit, NEVER jeans. But I do see what you are saying. Good observation. |
