Default How old was Cody?

I've been watching reruns of this on the Hub and I'm really enjoying it I haven't seen it on in years and I loved it as a kid. But I've been wondering something: In his 1st appearance Cody hits on Dana because JT bets him $20 she won't go out with him. I read that the actor who plays Cody was born in 1967 and the actress who plays Dana was born in 1975. Which means that since that was in 1991 it was a 24 year old hitting on a 16 year old. I don't know if the characters are the same age as the actors but Cody had to have been an adult since he lived on his own. So it's kind of weird that the writers would have him be attracted to a high school girl. Who also happens to be his cousins step sister but that's for another thread.

Not sure but I've been reading the episode guide to SBS on Wikipedia and there's an upcoming episode where Cody is celebrating a 19th birthday even though Sasha Mitchell is older than that.

I'd be surprised if he actually finished high school.

Thanks, it's interesting that on tv actors are always a few years older than their characters.

He was 18 when he first showed up. At the end of the 1st season he turned 19.

He acted about 13 though. LOL. How in the heck did he get a higher SAT score than Dana? Geez.

For the most part, geniuses are a little off-beat or ecentric.

True. But, I still think Cody smoked alot of weed. LOL!

That seemed to be the only reasoning for how he acted. Who else thinks that there's a McDonald's on Saturn?

That was the impression I got. What about the other kids, how old were they? I thought JT and Dana were 16 and in the same grade. Then Karen was a year younger at 15. Then Al was 13, Mark was 12, and Brandon was at 10 when the show first started. Do I have that right?
