Episode of Cliff tapdancing - Does Bill Cosby actually know how to tap dance? - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

I've been recently getting reacquainted with the Cosby Show after 20 years, and I've been having a great time. One episode that comes to my mind is the episode where Cliff is trying to tap dance with the man whose name is Howard Sims, and I thought that this was one of the greatest moments of TCS; I remember seeing this episode as a kid and it appears to be in Season 6. (I've been browsing on YouTube and recording some episodes to see how I like them, after all these years)

I'm wondering if any of you know if Bill Cosby actually knew how to tap dance, how much experience in this did he have, etc. But since his character didn't know how to tap dance(supposedly), BC seemed to pretend not to know how, for the sake of his character. I loved that scene, it was absolutely priceless. I actually tried to do some Google searches for this, but the results weren't conclusive enough for me.

No, I have no idea if Bill can tap dance or not, but I know that Cliff couldn't.

What if Cliff actually did tap dance? That would have been a whole differant episode.
