favorite and least favorite characters

Favorite:

Elvin - I thought he was a really nice guy and smart and was going to be successful. He's also maintained his good looks -- to this day.

Olivia - I thought she was a tremendous child actress, even at such a young age. At like 3 years old, she was doing a better acting job than most child actors that were much older than her. She was a cute kid and today she is a beautiful person inside and out.

Least Favorite

Sondra - What a man-hating FemNazi

Denise - I don't know, something about this character I don't like, I can't quite put a finger on it. It's like she tries to act cute all the time, but it just doesn't quite work. The constant giggling, the ATROCIOUS wardrobe.

I also think she thinks too highly of herself. In early season 2, she's like "Make way for the senior" as if being a high school senior meant that she owned the universe or something. And that time in early season 1 where she went on a date and ordered all the most expensive things on the menu just because she ended up not liking her date. She just has this air of arrogance about her.

It's also alluded to (by Clair) that Denise never commits to anything and wants to blow money all the time on her hobby of the week. She got pissy with her parents when they wouldn't let her empty her entire savings account to buy that crappy car. She just wanted the first car that came along that she could afford.

I also didn't like it when she kept shoving Vanessa because she borrowed her shirt. Denise borrowed clothes from her dad all the time and always got away with it, but because Vanessa borrowed one of her shirts for a few hours, she got all dramatic about it.

Denise bugs me.
