The worst US import I ever saw here in the UK (and shame on Sky for buying it) was definitely 'Full House'.

'Friends' also sucks. It is so popular here too and that saddens me a lot!

The worst of our own sitcoms (and boy, what a list of candidates!) has to be 'Bottle Boys' which was an 80's series. Truly awful.

I know we are all different and don't always laugh at the same things but I'm amazed at shows like 'Cheers', 'Roseanne', 'Beverly Hillbillies' and 'Ellen' appearing in people's lists above.

Me too. It's funny how your favorite show can be one other people dislike. Personally, I am amazed that Friends has been picked by some people. I think this show is hilarious! I do have to admit the last few seasons haven't been as good (but I still enjoy watching it).

Some of y'all's picks shocked me a little bit.

First off, James, I respect people's opinions, but, you putting AITF on that list was a very unwise thing.

Also, I disagree with some people saying Alf, Who's the Boss, Family Matters, Green Acres, Three's Company, Petticoat Junction and Cheers

i think i'm a little to young to think this old humor is funny (50's sitcoms) it's just like watching a horror movie from my parents time..it scared the hell out of them but i'm bored to death, i guess i have a weird sense of humor.

I have to disagree (respectfully) on the following shows: Green Acres, Beverly Hillbillies; Cheers, Married with Children; Friends (although I think it's sucked for the past few years) All in the Family, and the Brady Bunch...I liked those shows (at least I don't think they sucked from day one)...AITF was great for the first 2 or 3 years, but then went downhill.

But, I totally agree with Laverne & Shirley, Full House, Webster, Three's Company, Rosanne, Happy Days, Who's the Boss and ALF. Also, I would like to add:

WKR(A)P in Cincinnati
Barney Miller
Silver Spoons
Taxi (I know a lot of folks will disagree with me on this one, and that's ok...it's just that I absolutely hate everyone that was on this show, especially Tony Danza...I like Danny DeVito in the movies, however).

Of course, we could add a lot of shows that had a brief run and were quickly cancelled (Delta House, which I never watched, but you just KNOW that one sucked)...but I'm thinking more along the lines of fairly long running sitcoms that sucked from day 1.

I'm sure I'll think of some more. Bye for now :-)
