Default Denise and Sondra vs. the other Huxtable children

I know this is just a show, but I always thought that Sondra and Denise would not have looked like Cliff and Claire's children or the sisters of Theo, Vanessa, and Rudy in real life. I mean, those two girls look way too different from the other three children, and it doesn't seem realistic that they'd (the two girls vs. the other three children) be siblings. I may be wrong, sorry but this has always puzzled me.

I agree with you. Sondra and Denise are obviously mixed. Unlike Rudy, Vanessa, Theo, Claire and Cliff who are black. Sondra and Denise don't look like Huxtable children.

It's not impossible for children of two black people to be lighter than their parents or siblings. I mean Clair was lighter than Cliff so it's entirely possible for that to happen. Genetics are a very complex thing.

that's true; sometimes there could be a lighter ancestor and all of a sudden the genes come out.

Let is not forget that Grandpa Huxtable was light skinned. So, we could go that route.

when I made this post, I was barely starting to rewatch the Cosby Show again after over 20 years, and I had not thought of Grandpa Russell. Had I remembered him, I definitely would have considered him as a factor.

Cant find the video but I love in 'House of Payne' when Calvin says he wants to have the Cosby's. His wife (played by Keisha Knight Pulliam) says they all look different Clair did not have all those kids.

I suppose Sondra and Denise could have been adopted.
I never really thought about it much really when watching The Cosby Show. They are just part of the Huxtable family, so I don't worry about it.
