"Facts of Life" on this message board anyway. You would have thought the "obsession" would have faded a bit, but many of the people who where obsessed with it when I joined in November still are to this day. FOL "was" a good show but, IMO, it's getting boring.

I would say "Taxi" and "WKRP in Cincinnati". Both got more than their share of critical acclaim, but I could never get into either one -- the characters just weren't that appealing to me.

I still like the facts of life, but yeah here on these boards it is a bit overspoken!! I disagree with Sinfeld, I really laughed hard at that show, it was great!! I might shock people but I'm going to say friends!! recently that show is getting on my nerves!!

I agree. Also MASH and Cheers didn't thrill me either!

I have to defend WKRP (that was a GREAT show) And say that Facts of Life is most certainly overrated.

Cheers was an awesome show! Three's Company is WAY overrated, as is Diff'rent Strokes.

I don't think many people are going to agree with me, but I think that Home Improvement was just an average show.

Probably "Cheers" because it got all of the media hype when "The Wonder Years" also got cancelled in 1993. I mean, I really loved "The Wonder Years" and the day I found out it was cancelled was for me one of the worst days of my life. It's a crying shame television shows made today cannot be like "The Wonder Years."

"Cheers", on the other hand, I can do without. I just never found it worth thirty minutes of my time.

i am sorry but i just never could understand why people liked THE WONDER YEARS so much, it was so boring! The same with: Frasier, Cheers, Northern Exspouser and love and war.

"The Wonder Years" is IMHO one of the greatest shows ever because it looks back on what was twenty years before the episodes were shot (IOW, the show's scope was the years 1968 to 1973 and the show was made from 1988 until 1993). The music from TWY's "scope" was far more interesting compared to that from 1988-93 (and today's for that matter!). A young child experiencing the events (the Vietnam War, for instance) of the time, while all the while music from the same era played in the background made the show worth watching. The music and the events made The Wonder Years what I thought was the greatest show ever made.

Other shows to "look back" include "The Waltons" (perhaps the only other drama--it's starting to rival "The Wonder Years" as my favorite show), "Happy Days," and "Laverne & Shirley."

Cool

I think Friends, Frasier, Will & Grace, The Golden Girls, and seinfeld are very over-rated. I have never found any of them funny.
