he's a liar and an idiot, while I do think that he probably has 80 or more victims, i doubt he has any useful information about any of them

He's just trying to live out his fantasy of revisiting his crime scenes. He deserves to be punched in the face 80 times a day.

He's already linked to around 50 murders, I don't think it's out of the realm of possibility that he's killed over 30 more.

ridgeway is guilty. he confessed after they showed him the evidence. as part of his plea to avoid the death penalty (a good argument for the DP- serial killer Richard Grissom has never revealed where his victims are but Kansas did not have the DP then so there was no leverage) and part of the deal was he reveal all his crimes and show where the remains were. if he killed 30 more how could he risk just one being discovered and the deal being made null? he even confessed to one murder that had been considered an OD.

If he did, then let's recover them. If not, he's just living out a horrid fantasy.

The Gary Ridgway thing...that always makes me go :O especially when you read Ann Rule's account. I mean, all those movies show serial killers as being like super-intelligent geniuses like Hannibal Lector yet by all accounts Ridgway was a total putz. He had an IQ of 82 and I think he had to repeat a grade twice, yet he killed upwards of fifty people before finally getting caught. :O

Well yeah, truth is most serial killers came from a poor upbringing/background, flopped at school etc. But how much intelligence do you need to pick up prostitutes, drive them somewhere very remote, do the crime & dump the body? They are usually not missed by anybody other than their pimp or other prostitutes & they are highly unlikely to go running to the cops.

Like the Yorkshire Ripper over here which is very similar in many ways-except he got caught a lot sooner he was on the radar but so were many others & the system of the time failed.

As for the number-well how many did Lucas & Toole confess to even though they were giving totally incorrect details about the crimes & were in other parts of the country at the time?

He is the killer. He knew details that the press didn't tell the public. I just don't know how you kill this many women and remember it. I guess they will never know how many he killed or Ted Bundy for that matter.

Ridgeway showed his stupidity when he interjected himself into the investigation by saying he was with one of the victims shortly before she disappeared. That is what first made him a suspect, although a pimp followed him to his house where he killed a victim but nothing came of that. GR was always one of the top three suspects until DNA caught up with him.
