"666 Park Avenue"---if this show had a different name I think it could've went at least one more season. The name actually killed this show because people were afraid to watch it.

Cougar Town is hilarious but the title is horrible. The show even plays the bad title into the introduction each week.

"Cougar Town" is a victim of its time. When the show came out, the term "cougar" was vey popular.

The Good Wife is the most obvious contender here for me.

"Terriers" was the poster child for this. I had no idea what the show was about from the title or the promo materials that featured a dog. Then after it was cancelled I found it on Netflix and loved the show. Nobody could have known it was a gritty detective show with great story arcs from the information the network put out.

Trophy Wife is a much smarter and more thoughtful show than its shallow title would suggest, based on the pilot anyway.

New Girl's title reflects the show's early episodes when it was all about Zooey, but it doesn't do a good job of capturing the great ensemble comedy its become.

The Cosby Show ok now i think it should have been called The Huxtable Family show , their is no guy named cosby an any of the 8 seasons lol

The Fresh Prince of Bel Air this was not smart title name is should have been called Will and the banks of bel air.

Martin why would martin lawrence be selfish and not include the tisha campbell character on his title what about the martin and gina show.

Sister Sister should have been called the tia and tamera show

Good Times not a good title name how about the evans and their good and bad times

Full House not a very popular name for a popular sitcom of the 90's how about the full house of the tanners and the friends.

Another example would be Family Guy.

In that case every show with the lead actor's name in the title should've been changed including:

The Taylor Family Show (Andy Griffith)
The Carmichael Family Show (Lucille Ball)
The Petrie Family Show (Dick Van Dyke)
The Stone Family Show (Donna Reed)
The Lane Family Show (Patty Duke)
The Martin Family Show
(Doris Day)

Etc..........

These are just as ridiculous sounding as The Huxtable Family Show.
