8 P.M. ET/PT, September 17: Wind Dancer Productions, Inc. in association with Walt Disney Television presents, right after the Season 5 debut of Full House (also seen in Syndication as of earlier this Fall) the series debut of a new ABC Television Network sitcom called Home Improvement.

The series debuts at the #1-rated series that week, starring 38-year-old stand-up comedian Timothy Allen Dick (born on June 13, 1953 in Denver, Colorado, USA), known professionally under the name Tim Allen, as Tim Taylor, the host of a local cable TV series in Detroit, Michigan called Tool Time.

Other cast members include Pat Richardson (born on February 23, 1951 in Bethesda, Maryland, USA) as Jill Patterson, his wife of 12 years; Earl Hindman (born on October 20, 1942 in Bisbee, Arizona, USA; died December 29, 2003 in Stamford, Connecticut, USA of Lung Cancer) as Dr. Wilson Wilson, Jr., the Taylor family neighbor; Zachery Bryan (born on October 9, 1981 in Aurora, Colorado, USA) as eldest son Brad Taylor; Jonathan Weiss (born on September 8, 1981 in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, USA), known professionally under the name Jonathan Thomas, as middle son Randy Taylor; and Taran Smith (born on April 8, 1984 in San Francisco, California, USA) as youngest son Mark Taylor, along with Playboy model Pam Anderson (born on July 1, 1967 in Ladysmith, Canada) as Binford tool girl Lisa & Richard Wilson (born on February 17, 1956 in Seattle, Washington, USA) as Tool Time sidekick Al Borland.

22 years ago this month was when Home Improvement made it's debut on ABC and 18 years ago this month was Home Improvement went into syndication.

Wow, how time flies. It's kinda sad when these threads pop up about show anniversaries. They make me feel so old and I'm only 30.
