anyone ever read this book? I have to read it for school so I was just wondering what it was about and if it is good. thanks!

I read it. Its very good actually.... about a poor girl and her family and growing up... lol sounds boring but its really not.

I haven't read it. Sorry, I can't help. Anyways, the title of the book reminds me of the play Lucy Ricardo tried create called "A Tree Grows In Havanna" in the I Love Lucy episode "Lucy Writes a Play", episode #17. Maybe the book you will be reading will be like Lucy's play.

LOL. Just a thought
