Cool

Homer Bedloe did his best to prevent this DVD from being released but the folks in the Hooterville Valley prevailed yet again!!!!

I just peed a little from excitement although I loath where I'm going to have to buy this.

In addition to being the first color season, three was an interesting season as the only one to feature Gunilla Hutton as Billie Jo (replacing Jeannine Riley). It also featured the debut of Lori Saunders as the new Bobbie Jo (replacing Pat Woodell). The first episode focused on Kate Bradley, perhaps as a way to break in Gunilla and Lori as new cast members without asking too much of them.

Also, if I remember correctly, it's in this season that Eddie Albert and Eva Gabor make appearances as Oliver & Lisa Douglas, as Green Acres began (Fred Ziffel had appeared much earlier as a farmer). The Bradley sisters are excited to be able to borrow clothes from Lisa's fabulous wardrobe...!

Yes, there were several crossovers with the GREEN ACRES cast this season to promote the show, and Lori appeared on a GREEN ACRES episode as well this season where she had some scenes with Eb Dawson.

This may well be my favorite season of PJ with many humorous, well-written episodes. The only drawback is that Gunilla had to miss many episodes due to hepatitis. I hope S4 comes out too as it was also good although I found Meredith to be a little bland and too far away from the original vision of the Billie Jo character as a man-crazy blonde bombshell. Her arrival also necessitated a switch in the character traits of Billie and Bobbie with Meredith's Billie eventually becoming the bookish type Pat Woodell's Bobbie was in the beginning and Lori's Bobbie degenerating into the ditzy one.

I will still buy every season they release though.

I'm disappointed the box art for PJ and The Beverly Hillbillies are not more in uniform with their earlier releases. They look like public domain releases. I hope this doesn't cause confusion.

I also wish I could understand why they're being handled this way.

However if they're complete re-mastered unedited episodes, I'll be satisfied.

I figured out from Walmart online that is IS a CBS/Paramount release, and not loaned out to another company. The description also says OFFICIAL Fourth Season.

Do we know for sure that all 34 episodes are going to be included? The press release says the run time is 11 hours 27 minutes; that works out to a little over 20 minutes per episode. Seems a little short...

I really want this, but will hold off until others purchase it first and can report on the actual running times for the episodes. I hope the press release was mistaken. Otherwise these will be cut worse than those in syndication, and I may as well just record the shows from Antenna TV.

Where is the press release? I haven't seen one yet.
I have both PJ season 3 and TBH season 4 preordered so I will do my best to confirm the runtimes when I get them if someone else doesn't beat me to the punch.

That's what I'm doing. Everything I am reading says there are no edited versions so I am hopeful but I also remember years ago, TV Land did some wicked edits during the latter part of PJ's run there. 5 more days...
