"Smash" Alum Will Chase Moves to "Nashville"
Sep 3, 2013 by Kate Stanhope "Smash" alum Will Chase is returning to the small screen, but this time he has his sights set on a different female songstress. Chase, who played Michael Swift aka Bombshell's original Joe DiMaggio on the NBC musical drama, has been cast on "Nashville", a source close to the show confirms to TVGuide.com. As first reported by Broadway.com, Chase will play a successful and charming country music star named Luke who may become romantically involved with Rayna (Connie Britton). It is unclear how long Luke will be sticking around for, especially considering Oliver Hudson will also romance Britton's character sometime this season.
