California Wildfire Threatens To Destroy Original "Little House on the Prairie" Land (VIDEO)

The Rim fire that's been burning near Yosemite National Park in California since last week may threaten the original house and land from the NBC series "Little House on the Prairie".

The wildfire, which has already burned 187,000 acres of brush and timber, is currently looming closer to the prairie that featured on the 10-season run of the 1970s and '80s television series.

The land was originally settled by the Ingalls settlers in the 1800s, and today their descendants still live on it -- in the same house that Michael Landon's Charles Ingalls character lives in on the show.

Although numerous roads surrounding the property are closed and the fire is inching closer, the family is continuing to stay on their land and wait it out. Firefighters expect to have the fire contained by September 10.
