The Brady Bunch featured on Oprah: Where Are They Now? - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

Did anyone else see this? Barry Williams, Christopher Knight, Mike Lookinland and Susan Olsen were all featured. It was interesting, but there were a couple of things that didn't quite add up to me. For one, Barry Williams stated that the working title for the show was "The Bradley Brood" but then later on Mike Lookinland was seen holding the script for the original pilot and he points out how it said "The Brady Brood" on the front and he crossed out the word "Brood" and wrote "Bunch" (I had always heard about the show originally being titled "The Brady Brood" but this was the first time I had ever heard anyone say that the original title was "The Bradley Brood"). The other thing was that Barry stated that all six of the Brady kids have always gotten along great in real life, but then Susan implied that Maureen McCormick and Eve Plumb don't really like each other.

Eve has spent her entire adult life trying to create a non-Brady identity for herself. (although she has appeared in some of the reunion projects) She has also held a grudge against Maureen since Maureen's book came out as she feels that Mo revealed some stories that should have been kept "in the family" so to speak. I'm sure Barry and the others don't want to be seen as takng sides in this dispute so of course they just tell people that all of the cast gets along with each other.

I forgot all about Eve's resentment about Maureen's book. I did figure that it was probably Susan that was telling the truth and not Barry.

The name of the show is Oprah: Where Are They Now? David Cassidy was the other main feature on this particular episode. It looks like it airs again Sunday night at 9pm eastern/8pm central in case you want to see it.
